A cosy spot with delicious food, coffee, and pastries. My partner and I were visiting Duns for the first time and decided to have lunch here. We both ordered the special - pheasant and mushroom puff pastry pie - which was superb! Tasted fresh and homemade. We then ordered two lattes and cinnamon rolls. The coffee was great and the rolls tasted, again,super delicious and homemade! We look forward to eating here again!
A lovely visit as part of a private booking and prior to having a tour of the Jim Clark museum. Really friendly staff and quick efficient service. We enjoyed the soup of day with delicious fresh bread. The pricing is very reasonable and the dessert selection looked incredible. There are washroom facilities and they accept cashless payments. We hope to visit again
If you’re in Duns or have been to the Jim Clark museum you have to finish off with a visit to the Bistro. Friendly staff great atmosphere superb food.

Used to be called Hugo's and we popped in from time to time for coffees and tray bakes. The cafe has been slightly face lifted and the food service and quality is just as good. I had the club sandwich for lunch, all very fresh. It filled me for the rest of the day!
Fantastic lunch, amazing lamb curry with rice x 2, nan bread and cubed mango side dish, macaroni cheese with salad and garlic bread, 3 coffees and 2 Portuguese custard tarts...for a fabulous price of 50, best lamb curry for years, i would definitely recommend it and will be back soon
The quality of food is always high and the service is excellent. The specials board and the tempting desserts are particular highlights. I highly recommend but some times, when it becomes busy, it may be advisable to phone and reserve a table especially if you are in a group of three or more. This also varies and is hard to specify, so to avoid any disappointment, phone in advance and book. I'm sure would be happy to advise when is likely to be busy periods for them.
Enjoyed another fabulous meal last night from their Valentine's day menu. We also visit weekly for their delicious scones and coffee...simply the best.
